Attending the BLICKFANG Exhibition

Carpeter at BLICKFANG Zürich — A First Step, A Beautiful Beginning

Our three days at BLICKFANG Zürich marked the very first public introduction of Carpeter — a newly born brand rooted in heritage, sustainability, and contemporary design. The response was truly uplifting. Visitors resonated deeply with our approach to reusing materials, reviving vintage Persian carpets, and shaping pet houses that blended craftsmanship with ecological responsibility. Many admired the artistic direction behind our designs, describing them as more than functional pieces — as sculptural objects with soul. The feedback confirmed that our philosophy of giving materials a second life is not only understood, but genuinely appreciated. Several showrooms expressed interest in collaborations, opening new doors for Carpeter’s future.

This debut also helped us reflect on the value of our work. Antique and vintage carpets, careful production, transportation, taxes, craftsmanship, and unseen brand costs all contribute to what it means to position our pieces as high-end objects or thoughtful household products. These considerations will help shape our next steps and refine the balance between uniqueness, quality, and accessibility.

Although our ceramic series couldn't be displayed — a delay in delivery kept the initial pieces from reaching Zürich in time — we are excited to share them soon. Their sculptural presence and material durability will complete the trio of materials that define Carpeter: wood, carpet, and ceramics.

Above all, our goal for BLICKFANG was to understand whether our creations truly belonged in contemporary, minimal, and luxurious homes. The answer was a clear yes. The fair affirmed that our designs fit seamlessly into modern living, both as functional pet houses and as distinctive design objects.

With this inspiration, we are now refining our models, finalizing our latest designs, and preparing for a full product launch. As we grow, we aim to expand our online offering alongside showroom sales — making Carpeter more accessible while staying true to our philosophy of meaning, material honesty, and sustainable beauty.

This is only the beginning, and we are grateful to everyone who shared their time, thoughts, and enthusiasm with us in Zürich.
